Dawn Rogers

Michelle Rogers is a tenured Master Instructor in the Department of Biology with an appointment in The Center of Excellence for Field Biology as the outreach and environmental education coordinator. She is the state coordinator for Project WET (Water Education Today, formerly called Water Education for Teachers).

General Biology II and Sustaining Biodiversity

Michelle Rogers is a dedicated educator with an interest in conservation of biodiversity and natural resources. She co-created the curriculum for an 365bet general education course, BIOL 2400 Sustaining Biodiversity, that focuses on finding solutions for climate change, habitat destruction and other challenges in preserving the amazing diversity of life on Earth.

Ms. Rogers has provided many professional development workshops for K-12 teachers with a focus on reducing water pollution and encouraging environmental education and conservation. She has presented many times at conferences for groups such as the Tennessee Environmental Education Association, the Tennessee Science Teachers Association, and the North American Association of Environmental Educators.
